Lauren and Casey's Engagement Party

Beautiful wine and cheese engagement party. The great set up included yummy food like: pastry covered brie with raspberry jam, mozzarella basil and tomato sticks, chunky Gorgonzola dip, fresh cheese, cheese balls, brie stuffed mushrooms, Parmesan cheese crisp, bread sticks, olives, bruschetta, olive oil herb dip, figs, strawberries, grapes and nuts.

I put the cheese labels in cut wine corks to add some flair as well as surrounding the candles in the hurricane glasses with old wine corks. The awesome cheese domes are from Pottery Barn with cheeseboards, lazy susans, marble cheese boards and votive glasses used for nuts. It was a great set up and turned out beautiful for a beautiful couple!!

I had such a great time cooking and setting up for this event. Not only was it for my beautiful and wonderful sister but I had the opportunity to let my creativity flow. So much yummy food in one place, great fun cooking with some wonderful ladies and a party that could make any newly engaged couple .............ready to eat!! I have to add that there were also some yummy desserts (not pictured), awesome personalized wine glass tags (from thiswineismine.com) and last but not least, the most adorable favors, wine bottle stoppers with large diamonds on top. Fun night!!

The set up process...............................(or as I call it, The Fun Part!!)

Mozzarella, tomato and basil knot picks marinated in a yummy herb sauce.One of the Cheese Trays. It is a large lazy susan with the large bell dome. Blackberries, grapes, strawberries, pecans, walnuts, crackers and cheese. Chunky Gorgonzola dip with apples and grain crackers.Soft cheeses with grapes and walnuts. (Jalapeno Muenster cheese to the right.) Brie stuffed mushrooms with a sauteed green onion sauce.
