This weekend we had the pleasure of throwing a brunch for my wonderful friend Holly to shower her and her soon to be new baby girl,

 Audrey Grace Mauldin!

Of course with a name like Audrey, no other theme would be as fitting as a

Breakfast At Tiffany's shower.    We decided to further the theme by serving brunch foods and having it in the morning.  The movie was playing in the background for those that wanted to catch up on an oldie but goodie and then Holly got to bring it home with her so she could show her girls when they get a little older.

And what else are sisters for, than to help you hold up that heavy baby weight when you back starts to hurt.  Way to go Robin for taking one for the team and helping Holly to hold up baby Audrey :).

Thank you Darling's for helping Holly welcome baby Audrey.    I had a great time doing this shower and all the Tiffany & Co.  research was so fun.  Holly's guests and the other hostesses were all so kind and friendly.   It was a great time had by all and I can't wait to meet Miss Audrey!!!

"POP" Baby Shower

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything!!! This last year has been crazy busy and I just lost track of time and pictures to get them on the site. Hopefully I can start back up and kick it off with pictures of the shower we did last weekend for my sister.

The theme was "She's about to POP" and it was so much fun!!!  Below are pictures of the shower and my beautiful sister who is due in November.   It was a couples baby shower so we had a good time mixing in stuff for both the guys and girls.

 We went with the colors and patterns of the nursery for this theme.  I love the way it all turned out with the amazing bright colors.

 My sisters favorite children's book is "Love You Forever" so we thought it would be fitting to frame the words at her shower.  The cards were made for guests to write little notes to Baby Davis for his parents to give him on his 18th birthday.  This was done for me with my oldest (who is 17 now, man do I feel the years stacking on quick) and I just loved the sentiment.  Considering my son will get his next year, I figured we would pass on to the next generation.

 Of course no POP theme is complete with out tons of things that POP.   - Toffee POPcorn, Vanilla POPcorn and Parmesan Garlic POPcorn.  I little Sweet & Savory.

 Ring POPs, of course!!  I have to admit - I didn't see any adults eating these but I couldn't not buy them because they said POP. 

 POP tarts!!  Who doesn't love Pop Tarts??  There were 4 different kids all placed in a cute little suitcase.

Oreo Pops, Pop Rocks, Popsta Salad - Ok, so maybe I went overboard on the "POP" theme but I couldn't help it.  I even went so far as to call the Pimento Cheese sandwiches POPmento Cheese.......I know, I know, that may have been a step to far.  After I started with the pop, I couldn't stop!! 

 The MOST AMAZING cake pops made by the MOST AMAZING woman.......Mrs. Stormie Gentry!!  They were so good with funfetti and red velvet cake inside.  

 Chocolate dipped rice krispies on a stick.

My sister LOVES punch!!  Did I say LOVES??  I mean, is INFATUATED with punch.  So of course we had to have punch!!  The lime punch turned out great and matched the theme perfect.  I just love it when things work out.

 

Milk bottles for the drinks with flags we made for the straws.

(I had an army to help me collect all these Starbucks glasses for this party.  Unfortunately they were not aware that from now on we will be using these for every party so I can feel better about washing and saving them like an episode of hoarders).

Future Mommy and Daddy!!  Aren't they precious!!

Luau Engagement Party

The lovely Miss Jolinda agreed to Marry Mr. Devin....so of course we used this as opportunity for celebration!!.  Jolinda requested a Luau, so a luau we would produce. 

Can't have a luau with out adult drinks.  We opted for the tradition Blue Hawaiian and to go with the colors, the Sex an the Beach.  Both were WONDERFUL!! 

In addition we made a variety of fruit shots.  Just cut the fruit in half, mix up the jello shot liquid and pour into the fruit halves.  When solid cut with a knife to make adorable condiments for the party.  Everyone LOVED these.  They were a big hit and will will definitely be doing them again. (We used, Oranges, Lemons and Limes).

For dessert I made mini pineapple upside down cakes.

Add a little cheetah and some great food................yep we are getting there....

 

 

Add a SUPER ADORABLE couple, and the Luau is complete!!

Twilight Breaking Dawn Party

Ok, I know I am a thirty something mom and wife.....................................but, I loved the Twilight Saga Books and then of course loved the movies also. So, of course the only options was to throw a release party for the 4th movie coming out this Friday. Some friends and I (yes they were all adults also) got together to watch the three previous movies and enjoy some good food. Below are the pics from our set up at the Twilight Night. It was a great pre-party for Breaking Dawn part I. Enjoy!!

We made: Southwestern Egg Rolls with a cilantro dipping sauce; deviled eggs, goat cheese stuffed mini peppers, salsa onion dip, shrimp cocktail, honey drizzled cheese with walnuts and dates; onion soup stuffed mushrooms and of course red velvet cupcakes with chocolate chess piece toppers.
