Blackberry Sweet Dough Pies

3 whole eggs
2 cups white sugar
4 cups flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup butter or Crisco shortening
¼ cup sweet milk
4 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour, reserved for rolling the dough
2 containers of Blackberries

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream sugar and butter; add 1 egg at a time, beating well. Slowly add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. Place in refrigerator overnight.

Roll out dough, a small amount at a time. Use a saucer or a very large cutter. Place 1 heaping teaspoon of fruit in the middle then fold dough over.

Dampen edges with ice cold water and crimp with a form.

Place on baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
