Southwestern Dip Mix

Dry Mix:
½ C dried parsley flakes
1/3 C dried minced onion
1/3 C chili powder
¼ C dried chives
1/6 C ground cumin
2 tsp salt
1/3 cup dried cilantro
1 tsp. cayenne
¼ C Garlic powder

Dry Mix:
In a medium bowl, combine parsley, onion, chili powder, chives, cumin, salt, cilantro, cayenne and garlic powder. Package in decorative jar or cellophane bag.

Dip:
3 tbls Southwestern Dip mix
1 C sour cream
1 C mayonnaise

Dip:
In a medium bowl, combine dip mix, sour cream, and mayonnaise; stir until smooth. Refrigerate at least 2 hours for flavors to blend. Serve with chips or fresh vegetables.

(Dry dip mix is made in a large batch so it can be packaged for gifts. This way the recipient only needs to add the sour cream and mayo for an instant dip)
